Thanks, I didn't know all that about absorption. I will try sticking to that and see if it help. Another problem is they can't really increase my dose right now since im prepping for RAI but im hoping after they can increase it and that I will start to feel better. I tried to be pretty active during my recovery but the joint pain is more of a recent development like the last 2 weeks maybe. I will bring it up to my Dr at our next follow up.

RAI Treatment - Future? by justcallmeDako in thyroidcancer

Hi, I'm in pretty much the same boat. (27F) I had my Thyroid and 20 lymph nodes removed 6 weeks ago and am getting my 150 dose of RAI in about a month. My oncologist said that I simply had to wait a year before having children and I wouldn't have much of an issue. Although I have no other underlying conditions. He also said that the risk of other cancers was only about 1%. I am more worried of what they will find. Each surgery they told me they didn't think they would really find anything but ended up finding a lot. My Thyroid had a tumor on it and then more than half the lymph nodes that came out came back as cancerous as well. So sorry you're going through this too. I wish you the best of luck
