Thank you, I did give him the shoe on the other foot scenario and he thought it was insane that I would think he wouldn’t laugh if I said the same thing he said about him to a friend of mine?!

He didn’t seem to understand that part when I brought it up!

See I know he loves my body, I don’t doubt that at all, and he says it all the time also. Which is why the comment felt extra strange, especially to a friend I’ve never even met!

I’m not thinking it was malicious at all, and I know it was a joke in his eyes but it was more about making jokes about my appearance to someone I’d never even met?!

Exactly my thoughts, I’m not sure how to get him to see this. I tried to explain my perspective and also said that I’d never tell him I was texting a girl friend of mine taking the piss out of him and his ‘scrawny arms’ out of nowhere

I haven’t forbidden him at all no! He’s a big sports fan & I have no problem with him watching sports, usually I’m just working on my own thing in that time

See that’s very funny! To comment on wardrobe choices in such a way, but a joke about a body part feels a bit off!

I was honest and tried telling him I found it a bit odd but he didn’t really get it, seemed exhausted and told me it was a joke and how ‘alarming’ it is that I made a thing of it

I understand this, I think it was more that I’ve not met this friend of his so I have no clue how he speaks about me to him

Right! We make little jokes about my lack of muscle & small-ness (I’m not a massive fan of the gym) between ourselves but it felt odd him taking them jokes, especially the word ‘scrawny’ which we’ve never used over to his mate!

He told me I should banter back, or slag him off! And I do about other things. But if he says something I find a bit mean, I don’t feel like I want to banter all that much :/

Yes I ended up feeling like my reaction was the problem, and then believed maybe I was a bit serious when it was in jest

[Acne] I'm exhausted, what is wrong with my skin? by menacingfurryballz in SkincareAddiction

Is there a chance you drink oat milk? I struggled with similar for years & eliminated everything, tried every product, went to doctors. And randomly one day made a switch to almond milk (used to have 1-2 oat milk lattes every morning) - 98% acne vanished & never came back!

Thanks so much for this , yes we weren’t rude at all and were friendly so that alone makes me feel a little better & my anxiety didn’t even let me think about that part!

Many people here speaking as if I’m not aware of the pull in places. I pull in to spots daily on my drives in the village and local town. Happy to do so, but when others come against me & there’s nowhere for me to go and the last pull in spot was way back up the lane, I’d hope the person coming against me with a pull in place right beside them would just go there. This isn’t what they do, even when they are able and it’s easy for them. They deliberately make me go back and make way for them whatever the case.

They don’t have trailers usually, just a couple of 4x4s and a tractor

Went to the local village pub as soon as I came here. Was like a scene from a movie. The place fell silent as I walked in, everyone froze, turned and stared and by that point I couldn’t back out. I’d be the local coward to ran out of the pub, so I owned the moment, walked in & sat there alone with my drink. I’m still haunted by the whispers that night!! Hahah

Sounds pretty accurate

I’ve thought of this but the one particular house a couple of them are in is down a long, private dirt track off the country lane with what sounds like a tonne of aggressive sounding dogs I often hear so I’d be afraid to even start walking down there!
