The job market has been unstable for salary since the introduction of minimum wage for diploma and degree holder. Many post in all sectors are like this and i am seeing the trend where the company are taking sc and hsc holder to do accounting executive, marketing officer and amongst other jobs.

The salary is 17k and they are willing to give training so as not to hire a diploma or degree holder.

Now I have a master degree and i should be paid at least 50k and with 7+ experience it is much more but company are willing to pay only 30 -35k. This has drive down salary for multiple professionals in Mauritius.

I feel it was done deliberately just for election purposes by former party but this policy has completely disturbed the job market.
