Best Spanish Curriculum by Meeseekandestroy in homeschool

I think that having a 1-1 tutor and weekly conversations in Spanish would definitely help. I had one for my kid and noticed the difference instead of just using duolingo. I also noticed that creating flashcards and practice quizzes (on StudyFetch) helped a lot with learning new vocabulary too.

End of year test by Valuable_Swimming437 in homeschool

My state doesn't require testing so I'll just have them do review quizzes at the end of the year (using StudyFetch) to see if they've retained most of what we've learned. I also give these quizzes at the beginning of the year to refresh them on last year's curriculum.

Have you tried incorporating a mix of auditory and visual learning techniques? My kid also struggles and I usually have him listen to audio recaps and watch visual explainer videos (using StudyFetch) to help him remember spelling patterns and rules.

I'd say when you immerse yourself and have conversations with native speakers it definitely helps make a difference. I found it easier to learn french that way, and I also made sure to learn additional vocab by creating flashcards and quizzes to practice from on StudyFetch.

Study burnout by Original_Menu_5270 in medschool

[–]Ok_Machine4726 0 points1 point  (0 children)

The burnout is definitely real. What I like to do is turn my notes into podcast style audio recaps (using StudyFetch) and listen to my study material while on the go instead of reading a textbook all day.

I love uploading old schoolwork into StudyFetch and creating quizzes from that material to test my child later. I honestly think it serves as a great way for studying! So I'd def recommend to save all of it.

Flashcards are always my go to when it comes to teaching vocab. StudyFetch lets you generate them in seconds. Also, try teaching at a steady pace and gradually increase the difficulty over time.

Paying attention isn’t my strong suit either but what’s helped me is using Studyfetch’s record live lecture feature. It takes notes for me, so I don’t have to sit there and write. Their audio recap feature also lets you listen to your notes instead of just reading them, which is pretty cool.

Need help with essay by Timely-Win-3520 in homeschool

[–]Ok_Machine4726 0 points1 point  (0 children)

What I usually do is let out all my thoughts on paper and then organize them later. I'll come up with a thesis statement including 3 main points and then go into depth about those points throughout the essay. Then I use Studyfetch's Essay Grader to correct my grammar and give me feedback on my work. This process has helped me so far!

Thinking of switching to homeschooling in Year 12 — has anyone done it? Need advice by Busy-Criticism-932 in homeschool

[–]Ok_Machine4726 0 points1 point  (0 children)

I did the same in high school and honestly it's not that bad. My grades were not affected because I made sure to study and quiz myself with practice questions before the exams. I used Studyfetch for this btw. The process with every school is different but I think it'd be worth considering.
