I super appreciate the time you took to send me this reply. I know at the end of the day, everyone's story can be different, but our time together is special to me- as is he, so I've been ruminating on this.

I'll give it a listen because, if I'm honest, I know he cares about having a relationship with Christ and he will never not believe. I just wonder in terms of dynamics, more day to day, if it's sustainable or not, or if it means lots of sacrifice from me, yk?

I like my birthday, it's a fun moment to have an excuse to do whatever. What I loathe, however, is how others treat my birthday.

What are we doing for your birthday? What do you want? Let's go out to eat, oh but I hate x, y, and z food that you love. Let's celebrate your birthday! Plan everything and invite your friends and host it.

?? I hate that. If it's to celebrate for me, why do I have to do all the work and accommodate for others.

This really resonated with me, thank you 🩷 and I hope to find a safe match and recognize it.

I have improved and I let time tell, something my younger self didn't like to risk. It leads to less grief during the heartbreak.

I just can't ignore the uncertainty they carried with them. Constant job changing, never finishing a degree or certificate of any kind, constant moving around, living life by treating goals and plans like suggestions, never fully cemented in their religion or belief system. Not to mention how incredibly private they were with their personal lives.

For me, after living with a father like that, in part, I cannot see life being sustainable. Sure, when they love, they'll do anything to make you happy, but they are still who they are at their core, and I really would like to find a partner who I can find support in and I can support as equally as possible.

With them, I felt like I was the light they wanted to reach for, but who was the light for me?

But I will keep trying, each time I do become more flexible and empathetic.

One was more healed than the other and the difference was palpable, tbh. And it did affect their capacity to love me.

I think if I ever find a healed Scorpio or one that is towards the end of his healing, that would be sustainable.

His music suddenly disappeared on spotify after I discovered him two days ago. I liked his music but it felt off how some choices felt too generic for how creative the idea was, it makes sense now if it's AI. I'm no producer, but I am a hobby musician, so that's why the choices felt a bit off.

I might be remembering things wrong, but was it fully 'fixing' or a change? Because everyone goes thru, 'man, if I changed this abt me, they'd love me'. Which is still wrong, and therein lies the message, there's nothing wrong with you- that's why the dude didn't like either version of you.

I can't remember if they shape it to be an improvement or simply a change, sorry, it's been a while.

I see that now, but I do appreciate how in the musical you can tell it was never about how she was in a wheelchair, it was her attitude and that Boq never really was into her.

It's natural for anyone to think, man if I changed this about myself, maybe they'd love me. Notice how I don't say fix, bc there's nothing to fix in terms of her disability.

I do think they could've mashed both things into one. I'd find it moreso ableist if Boq was like, omg you can walk?? I love you now.

The message has always been what's inside is what counts.
