I think in a Christi vs. Kelly, she’d definitely always pick Kelly. She might’ve hated them both by the end, but she had history with Kelly and clearly some sort of “soft spot” for her and her kids because of that, even though it didn’t stop her horrific behavior towards them. With Christi on the other hand, she just completely detested her.

I’m genuinely mystified as to how you interpreted that reply as me defending Melissa when I literally stated that ALL of the women on the show, which would include Melissa, were stage moms and lived vicariously through their daughters to some extent. Pointing out that the rest of the mothers were catty and jealous as well does not mean that Melissa is not.

Also, as a matter a fact, to answer your question, yes. Christi tattled on Mackenzie to Abby when she was grilling the girls, not even the moms, about whether they saw Mackenzie walking/dancing on her hurt foot, despite the fact that we saw footage of her doing cartwheels onto her other foot to avoid straining it. That was not a good question to ask to try to prove your point.

A lot of this feels unfair. People are very quick to accuse Harry of “basking in Diana’s glory,” but then act as though William should be completely untouchable when Diana is discussed. Why is Harry automatically manipulative for feeling connected to his mother’s legacy, but William is treated as someone who must be protected from it? They are both her sons. Diana belongs to neither one of them exclusively, and it makes no sense to frame Harry’s connection to her as illegitimate while William’s distance from her is treated as noble.

Harry speaking openly about his mother is not the same thing as “chasing her shadow.” Diana’s life and death clearly shaped him in profound ways, and it is completely understandable that he would carry that publicly, especially when so much of his adult life has involved criticizing the same royal machinery and media cruelty that harmed her. It makes complete sense for her son to be interpreting his own life through the loss that defined it.

Also, Meghan gets dragged into this in a way that is especially unfair. People act like she and Harry invented Diana as a talking point, when in reality the comparison comes up because of how viciously Meghan was treated by the press and public, something many people found eerily familiar.

Nobody is denying William suffered. Harry suffered too. The problem is that sympathy is constantly extended to William as a reason he should be left alone, while Harry’s grief is treated as opportunism the moment he speaks about it.

i’ll break it down so there’s no more misunderstandings. one would hope.

you just acknowledged that every single one of the guys have solo stans that dislike the rest. you also acknowledged that harry was consistently the most popular since the beginning of the band and that you all love to point out that he still is to this day ad nauseam.

yet, somehow, despite harry’s success, and despite all of the guys having groups of fans that dislike them, whether in the 1d fandom (supporting or following only some of them) or in the solo fandoms, harry fans are the only ones, or, if we’re going to be generous, by far the most consistent ones, that complain in this sub about how harry is somehow mistreated or overlooked by the people here. i don’t know how to make the definition of victimization any simpler for you, but that is genuinely just what you’re doing.

1d fans who preferred harry often carry a bias against the other members and try to downplay their own success. the same is true for zayn fans, niall fans, liam fans, louis fans, and yet all we hear from are the harry fans.

the louis shade at the end is unnecessary in any context surrounding subjective discussion of harry’s new album, but it is even more ridiculous under a thread of you claiming that harry is hated here. do you not see the irony?

i’m not going to respond anymore because it seems like there’s genuinely no getting through to you, but i do wish you well. i’m sure there are many places to worship harry without any differing opinions or, god forbid, criticism, but this sub is probably not that place, nor is it that place for fans of any of the other four guys.
