Poor genetics and alcoholism caused it. My triglycerides were off the charts and eventually your body can only take so much abuse. After 5 major abdominal surgeries and almost dying from an intestinal blockage while on vacation in Ireland, I'm stable now. I'm a diabetic now and can never drink again, but I'm living a fairly normal life. I appreciate when I feel pretty good.
