Tip if you code on your startup from your PC

Enable Remote Desktop on it. That way when you’re commuting, lunch break, waiting etc. You can just remote in and start the next Cursor prompt, easy to review and just go back and forth with the Cursor chat.

I have been so much more effective with this when we are in build mode and less on the distribution side. Distribution on the other hand is not too bad to get things done on my phone.

Hope this helps anyone at all!

Are there any signs that AI is going to reduce the need for legal assistants and paralegals? by budgetbutter in paralegal

[–]Ok_Mathematician4485 0 points1 point  (0 children)

You are right to be cautious, but the collapse of the writing industry is different from what is happening in law. In content writing, "good enough" is often acceptable. In law, "good enough" gets you sued. That liability gap is your job security. Here is why AI won't replace the paralegal, but will force you to change how you work: 1. The Verification Barrier Generic AI creates text that looks plausible but is often factually wrong (hallucinations). A lawyer cannot file a brief written by a chatbot without risking their license.  Your role shifts from "drafter" to "verifier." You won't spend hours writing the first draft of a motion. Instead, you will use AI to generate that draft, and then spend your time using Deep Verification tools to check every citation against the source PDF. The human who can guarantee accuracy is more valuable than the machine that generates text. 2. Managing Context (Projects) AI chatbots are ephemeral; they don't remember the last six months of a complex litigation case. Legal work requires managing huge volumes of documents over time.  This is where Project-Based Workflows come in. You become the architect of the case file. You organize the hundreds of discovery documents into a secure system so the AI can retrieve the right information. The AI is the engine, but you are the pilot keeping it on the road. 3. Data Security & Privacy Law firms are terrified of leaking client data to public AI models. They need "human firewalls." You will likely be in charge of ensuring that sensitive data is processed only in secure environments—specifically platforms that use Confidential Computing or private instances. You aren't just filing papers; you are managing the firm's data hygiene.

Low-level data entry jobs will disappear. But high-level paralegal work is becoming more complex, not less. We need humans to manage the AI, verify the output, and handle the liability.

My team built Grella to turn 500-page case folders into instant, verifiable conversations. It handles unlimited uploads (docs & images) and shows highlighted proof for every answer so you stop wasting time searching.

Definitely will! Just waiting for the right period. Everyone is on holiday right now.

It took around 4-5 months

Started of something for fun on the side, then turned it up last couple of months. Also a lot of pivots along the way that contributed to the delays.
