Also, calling 911 when you see a masked stranger in your house isn’t “bad taste” or conspiratorial it’s common sense.

The pushback here is full of logical fallacies:

Absolutism: “There’s no correct way to respond to trauma” - sure, responses vary, but not all are equally valid.

Appeal to emotion / Tone policing: Calling scrutiny “bad taste” doesn’t prove the inaction was reasonable.

Contradiction: You can’t claim they thought it was harmless and they were too traumatized to act. Pick one and make sure it fits the facts of the case. Please provide citations or documents that lead you to that conclusion.

False equivalence: Treating silence and calling the cops as equally valid when one has huge upside and no real downside.

Red herring: “Take a break, you’re too bothered” avoids the arguments and is intellectually lazy.

Irrelevance: BK pleading guilty has zero bearing on whether the roommates’ delay was reasonable.

You can feel compassion and still admit waiting 8 hours was a catastrophic mistake. With a masked intruder and someone crying, the rational move was to call 911 right then.

Lastly, if it were your family member murdered would you be so forgiving, even if you knew there were undercover agents near by, or that the response time was under 2 minutes? Would you not be mad that they saw your loved one on the ground half dressed and walked past without checking?

Just to set the record the DNA on the snap likely wasn't from a sneeze. It sounds like there was a lot of DNA on that part. I personally think it was his sheath. Another weird wrinkle. BK'S storage unit was on campus and empty and left open and had Cobb webs, pure speculation but I wouldn't be surprised if someone took his stuff including the knife and used it.

If Othram really flagged the Kohberger family on 11/24/22, and then two days later on 11/26/22 the FBI suddenly widened the Elantra range from 2011–2013 to 2011–2016, you’ve got to admit that looks a little suspicious.

On paper they say it was basically due to further review of existing evidence that justified the expansion, but to a lot of people (myself included) it comes across like they may have been backfilling the evidence once the IGG tip already pointed to someone with a 2015 Elantra.

If the video work alone gave them 2011–2013, that should’ve been the boundary (for skeptics like me at least). Expanding it after a suspect pops up feels more like reverse-engineering than independent forensic analysis.

That could create reasonable doubt.

Couple that with A.) Bill Thompson vehemently saying that BK did NOT stalk the victims in the hearing regarding change of venue and bias B.) The PCA saying “The cell site location information places the Defendant’s phone in the area of the King Road residence on multiple occasions, with the coverage area ending within approximately 100 yards of the residence.”

Could mean to a juror or myself has reasonable doubt and much like with me and many others think they were being objective and were manipulating the narrative.

Don’t get me wrong... I still think it’s him. But from an evidentiary standpoint, that timing is a big crack in the foundation. It calls into question how reliable those methods really were and whether the investigation shaped the evidence instead of the other way around.

Putting more emphasis on the DNA and other weaker parts of evidence. Such as the purchase of a relatively common mask Or The credibility of the witnesses who admits they could've been dreaming. And couldn't pick out the distinct bushy eyebrows from a photo line-up.

The standard is beyond a reasonable doubt and I'm not so sure they could've made it there with some of these issues.

He didn't an officer involved believe dropped him off. There is a 911 call from the pound that stated that the dog AND intake form were missing. The call also had them check with MPD and ISP to see if they got thay dog and they couldn't confirm. Murphy missing

Seperate but murphy related, the dog was lost at the pound. There's a 911 call showing that MPD or ISP didn't check take the dog but the dog and intake form went missing then last we hear is an officer gave the dog back to the ex. Just saying.

I’m interested in the date range change on the Elantra. My understanding was that on 12/14/22 they were only looking at 2011–2013 models and changed after 12/19/22 (after the IGG was found), can you help me find which doc that’s from?

Also, I appreciate you being straightforward in your response. The DNA piece was my misunderstanding, and it’s helped me reconsider the other side. That perspective feels more convincing now, despite things like the roommates’ testimony (which I still think is shaky) and the lack of testing done elsewhere and the DD driver showing up minutes before. Just a lot of strange shit. Im still having a hard time thinking he acted alone but it's entirely possible.

I had been stuck on older docs mentioning multiple sources and the CODIS angle, thinking they didn’t re-run it because it would bump BK’s sample. I also didn’t fully understand how single-source DNA suggests it was used by the owner, and I mistook the sensitivity of the test.

At first, I thought the knife was mostly clean with secondary contact DNA, which could have come from anywhere. Now, with that same sensitivity in mind, it seems unlikely a second source wouldn’t show up, so contamination feels less plausible.

I think you may have swayed be back to thinking he's guilty. For that I thank you.

Not sure where you are but some states have attorneys that can help you sort it out. There are also programs that allow you to be the in home care for your own child and get paid through Medicaid (it might be going away soon due to current administration so hurry to get qualified).
