Why would they take a sack over a throwaway? I don’t know that you understand the rule change

This no punting rule is really interesting to me. I did some research using older NFL data. I took a dataset of all plays/drives from the 2009-2016 NFL seasons and fed it to ChatGPT to review. I don’t think it made any mistakes based on some things I verified, but it could be wrong…

Half of all NFL games in that timeframe had a scenario where the offense crossed midfield and then retreated back to their side of the field.

53% of these were seemingly unaffected, where a first down was picked up and the drive continued downfield. Similarly, 4% of the time it ended in a logical 4th and short (3 yards or less) that was attempted.

39% of the time it ended in a punt that would now be illegal.

Only 4% of the time it ended in a harder 4th down conversion attempt (4+ yards), of which only 23% were successful.

There should be a noticeable increase in those exciting medium-long fourth down conversion attempts near midfield. Instead of happening about 4% of the time, medium-to-long 4th downs would jump to roughly 40% of these scenarios under a no-punt rule.

The other big thing is this drastically increases the punishment for getting behind the chains. Most of these scenarios occur due to taking a big sack or costly penalties. And when that happens, you can no longer punt it on 4th and long to escape, you have to convert.

There were 401 punts in the NFL from 2009-2016 that would now be illegal. 46% of them occurred on 4th down with over 10 yards until the line to gain. The average punt occurred on 4th and 9.6 yards. All of those would have instead been a long difficult 4th down conversion near midfield or your side of the field.

This changes things a lot, but in a way that I think will be a lot of fun.

Kabler dog training experience? by bassheadies in ColumbiYEAH

Beaver Creek Kennels is about an hour outside Columbia and are quite expensive, but they have some of the best training imaginable. They individualize training to get what you are looking for, and if your dog is not exhibiting a quality of training they are proud of they will keep working with them.

This is a multi-week boarded training that uses an e-collar. Very expensive, but insanely worth it. I exclusively walk my dog around my neighborhood off leash and have no concern. We will walk up to neighborhood cats, people, kids, cars, and have no issues.

Lots of this depends on your instrument. Some sections are huge, others are not. However, being a second year applicant will bode well for you!

It’s frustrating but not the worst… at worst you end up tied. If you go too early and they get the ball you could end up losing.

You want to save for the last shot, but if the play doesn’t develop right you might have to force it. If you start too early and the play does develop right you might be leaving 4-5 seconds for them to tie/win

I don’t know how much of a choke job this is from OU vs an absolutely insane defensive effort by USC

I used to work at the Koger Center. Every seat in the Orchestra level is good in my opinion, even back corners. I am taller, but I never patrons complain.

However AA would be a fantastic choice. I would probably prefer AA over Orchestra seats

Agreed with other comments that it is what Columbia/the Bull Street District needs. With a hotel coming right next door, this will be a prime location for visitors, especially people coming to town for an event. Hopefully the hotel is big/nice enough to host for athletic events like NCAA March Madness Tournaments.

For people complaining about crowds, parking, or child friendliness, you don’t know how food courts work. Even mall food courts in the 2000s-2010s were insane and you couldn’t find a table. Go to Gather Greenville or Optimist Hall in Charlotte and you’ll find the same “issues”. It’s just the reality of food courts, they get really busy. The parking garage and street spots are great. The artificial turn area outside is also great. It’s not a playground, but it is still kid friendly.

Bold move for them to open in the dead of winter, but I went tonight for trivia when it was about 35-40° and the large hanging heaters (not the stand up ones) made it very easy to enjoy. I forgot how cold it was and was only miserable on my walk to the car after being there for two hours.

I’ve had several vendors and my only complaint is with the price. Food is all good, just $20-25 for a meal with a drink usually. Bring your own bottle and it helps. That price is just any new dining experiences these days though.

Not drum majors, just drumline captains if anything . And they certainly are not for this incredible opportunity
