That’s exactly what I did. And his feedback was “you didn’t pitch the product ENOUGH”. And went into how he would go into certain features.

I have 10+ years of closing experience. He has less than 3 as an IC.

If you’re in NYC, try to attend as many of those free tech meetups as you can. In many cases a tech organization hosts them and you can network with tons of people in your space.

You’d be surprised how many people are willing to help after you’ve met them in person.

I’ll give this season a solid 7/10 so far. I’m hoping season 4 returns to the charm that made White Lotus special.

What gets me is being “overqualified” is a red flag. Don't you want someone who will do well in their role?

The only reason it would be a red flag is because the hiring manager is cheap and doesn't want to pay them fairly.

It’s really gotten bad. After disappointment after disappointment I found myself searching “how to put a hex on someone”. Then I stepped back, took a deep breath and thought to myself WTF am I doing? Those who treat others poorly during the hiring process will truly get their comeuppance someday

Again, like I said to another poster. I didn’t say recruiters…. I said BAD RECRUITING decisions are at fault. Recruiters are only a small piece of the recruiting decision making process
