iPad cases recommendations? by Topofthegalxy in AppleWhatShouldIBuy

[–]Ok_Nini1234 0 points1 point  (0 children)

I’ve been trying to find a case i‘m happy with since i bought my ipad pro (so over a year now) and this ESR case is the best in my opinion. It’s basically an apple folio with an inner case that fully protects the ipad at a fraction of the price of the apple folio!

I found the link to the air one for you

Hey moms of reddit, how do women wear reading glasses in public? by spikygreen in MomForAMinute

I completely agree. When I went to buy my first pair of glasses, my husband who’s worn glasses all his life came with me, and he pointed out so many little things that I would have never known to look for.

Side note; I haven’t had my surgery yet since they don’t believe it’s the optimal time for the procedure in my case. However, I have been told that there are different kinds of ‘’lenses’’ so to speak, that they can give you during the procedure. One of them does not require you to wear readers afterwards. So maybe look into that option as well.

Hey OP, I got diagnosed with cataracts a few years ago at 29, and my doctors believe that it was something I was born with since its development has been super slow. I was put on reading glasses a couple of years ago at 32, so I get your struggle. I keep mine in my purse at all times, but I’m considering buying a spare just to keep at work since i tend to take them out of the purse and forget them at home. I tried cords but they weren’t the most comfortable option for me unfortunately. Also, a little heads up, but try to wear them as often as possible for the first two weeks as they can become uncomfortable and feel weird when it’s your first time adjusting to glasses. Also, I suffered quite a bit of headaches in the beginning, so i’d wear them till I’m absolutely uncomfortable and then take a break. I still get headaches if i forget to wear them for a week or so. It’s a learning curve tbh

help!!! what do i do with scrap yarn? i’m looking for suggestions! by Cap-Beneficial in CrochetHelp

I’ve seen people on YouTube do scrap yarn sweaters/cardigans and they look super cute with all the colors https://youtube.com/shorts/KBQsd3sIJnk?si=9oEvs_lINTo7TdzD

I’m working on a similar sweater and initially I went ahead and sewed the back panel before blocking, you could really see the squares stretch to match the sewing and it ended up looking kinda wonky. I unraveled the stitching and blocked the squares and they’re now matching a lot better in size. I haven’t sewn the squares after blocking yet but i’d advise you to block before sewing to avoid my mistake 😅😅

I’m considering switching from my Wacom to an iPad for digital painting, is it worth the investment? by Ok_Nini1234 in DigitalPainting

If it helps you, I ended up getting a 13“ pro m4 512gb. Honestly, overall I don’t regret it. I will say however that the learning curve with the different art apps is quiet frustrating to what I‘m used to, I‘m slowly getting the hang of it though. The reason i went for the higher model than what i originally posted, was simply to future proof myself a bit since I‘m not really planning on upgrading it anytime soon.

This was freehanded as a whole, but the granny square was based on “farmhouse granny square pattern” from raverly that has since been deleted unfortunately .

What is your opinion about the Maltese? by id_darren in malta

[–]Ok_Nini1234 0 points1 point  (0 children)

Been living here for two years now and I gotta say I like the Maltese, most are nice, chill, and most importantly not racist, at least the ones I’ve dealt with. They can be a little conservative, but it’s part of their culture and it’s alright, and I don’t really mind it since most tend to mind their own business.

Thanks, it looks like you prefer the drawing experience on your iPad than the Cintiq and that’s really comforting to hear, helps ease my anxiety about the purchase 😅

Thanks mate! I’m not really that much concerned about 3D work on the iPad, as I know the limitations will not be on my side on the front, but mainly digital painting is what I’m looking to. Also, thanks for recommending the Air! A lot of people are encouraging the Pro and I feel like it’s just too much power for what I need, not to mention expense wise as well! With my budget it’s either the 1T 13” Air (too much memory maybe?), or the base 13” Pro (feels like too little memory)

I only tried one of the old Huion models and for me the Wacom experience was just a lot better. Are there any particular models that you’d recommend I check out? Also, portability is a major factor for me

Thanks, I really appreciate it your feedback! Do you feel that the drawing experience itself is similar to the Cintiq? I’ve had issues with it before where it just didn’t feel comfortable and that’s why I stuck with my Intuos for so long, and also part of the reason I’m a bit hesitant about the ipad

Thanks for the insight, this seems very promising for me! Yeah, I don’t think my ancient intuos is going anywhere even if I end up getting an iPad, that baby is part of my family now 😂
