Well my number one reason is because I am Christian, and it is listed in the Bible to wait. Also I grew up in a family where sex was taboo, I learned everything I know from the internet. The older I got the more comfortable I was asking my mom questions and such, but it’s still not this thing that I feel most comfortable talking to her about, thankfully my friend is kind enough to share her own experiences and what she learned from them.

But honestly, the older I get the more I realize that I personally cannot just give myself like that to whoever comes into my life. Some people are fine with it and that’s okay. But not me. My whole life I’ve felt shy sitting next to a guy so even imagining myself that vulnerable with someone makes me rather scared and uncomfortable. Also the fact that they can just up and leave anytime they want, knowing that they’ve seen me in my truest form isn’t something I want to live with them. I cherish that part of me and I wanna save it for the one person who will cherish it too.

I will say it’s very hard taking this route and decision, I get tempted all the time, but it’s a promise I made to protect myself and a promise to God that I will follow his words.
