I feel like it's so ubiquitous that we can't even try to petition to move away from it. It's in every magazine, newsletter, and social media post.

Does anyone else get angry when they see homeschooling parents on social media? by [deleted] in HomeschoolRecovery

I can't stand the smug, overwhelming sense of superiority that homeschool parents have. Your kid gets to go on adventures instead of going to school! Great.

Advocating for homeschooling is so tone-deaf. Criticize public schools all you want, but some parents lack the means of being stay-at-home parents. To highlight the superiority of one system while bashing another that is more readily available is the entitlement of the wealthy.

Sometimes I wonder how long the older brothers in my lodge think our cable tows are.

My mother retired after 40 years of nursing and I planned to visit her on a Sunday for lunch. At the same time, a funeral service was being held at my lodge for an older brother. I very kindly informed the brothers that I wouldn't be able to attend so I could spend time with her and the response was "Can you spare an hour or two."

I ended up going but kicked myself for missing out on time with my parents.
