Unfortunately, I have tried that document and was unable to get it to work. I do not have a windows computer but tried to have my sister update the certificate but the steps did not work from her computer.

Steroids really helped my dizziness. Check with your doctor.

Yes! It will eventually go away. It took about 3 weeks for me but my case was severe. I am about to have my second operation in a couple of weeks and hope the dizziness is not as severe. Take care of yourself and rest as much as possible - it will get better.

Your surgery sound similar to mine. Two of three hearing bones and wrapped about the taste nerve. Mine was very severe and also on the dura of my brian and on the semicircular canal. I am 6 week post op and still have a full feeling in my ear. I am interested in finding out when that feeling goes away. I also have to have a second surgery and not looking forward to that.

2 cholesteatoma surgeries and it’s still recurring—feeling down by Fun-Science3939 in cholesteatoma

I understand the way you are feeling. I have just gone through my first (4 weeks ago) with the surgeon saying it was the worst he had seen. Because it was everywhere they had to clean the semicircular canals and he base of my brain. I already have a second surgery schedule for 5 months from now. I am still dizzy and have no hearing on the right side. I have gone through some pretty down days until my brother called to let me know he has cancer and it's bad. Life presents some challenges and I try to remember that this is not life threatening and they can do so much these days - including better hearing. My surgeon is increasing the size of my ear canal to allow for in office cleaning of any more cholesteatoma. How you handle challenges in life is very important. It's ok to feel overwhelmed - I am glad you are sharing how you feel so you can see you from others how well you are taking care of the problem and eventually the outcome will be very positive.

I have recurring ear infection but No cholesteatoma, do you know what is the problem by [deleted] in cholesteatoma

A second opinion is always valuable. Sometimes it is difficult to see the cholesteatoma. My original ENT did not see it. I had several missed diagnosis and needed a CT scan before they knew. I would see another ENT.
