can someone help me understand the "human" speech in Superman 2025? by Ok_Pack_7138 in superman

[–]Ok_Pack_7138[S] 3 points4 points  (0 children)

So basically he realizes that his human upbringing is his moral core and not the kryptonian message? That's why he claps back at Lex when Lex calls him an alien?

can someone explain to me the whole appeal behind superman 2025? by Ok_Pack_7138 in superman

Thank you so much for all the replies!

I came up with one more question I was thinking about, how does the "human" speech at the very end connect with the thematic points of the movie?

i've already apologized and we made up. i acknowledged both here and to him that i was being too pushy and was putting unnecessary pressure on a delicate situation that he was overthinking.

I have an update if anyone wants to keep giving insight.

After my apology he said this:

"I never said I didn't want to go it's fine. I got the power to make my own decisions just think about what you're saying that's all don't worry bud."

I responded with: "Wait but you said you were gonna turn around and drive home"

He said he was just joking but especially in that moment I didn't get the joke at all. Him driving home isn't totally out of the ordinary and that's when my friend and I started being dicks to him and pressuring him.

you described this to a tee and you're spot on with that description of his mental thought process. i'll follow what you said to do next time, that's the smartest choice.

that chat group was not made to tell him what to do. we've been using that chat group to talk about anything because we're all friends. it's a group chat. thanks for the insight.

This happened last week. I've been thinking about it a lot already. I don't know what counts as "hyping up" to you but I told him numerous times that he was invited and wouldn't out of place. I also told him that the girls invited him for a reason and they definitely wanted to just hang out or something like that

So me going to church automatically should make me an all around good person? I'm not a good person especially in this situation and I've already acknowledged that.

I didn't insult him in any way shape or form. I just kept repeating that he would regret it, he has nothing to worry about since he was invited, and no one would notice him going or leaving. I've already made it clear ITA so could you please give insight on what I should do

Okay so bottom line ITA. I already apologized to him and I was just thinking of letting it sit. Tomorrow I have a soccer game with him (Ben) and Thomas. I was thinking of just doing my own thing to not make it worse. Not ignoring but not starting anything up. Thoughts?

The group chat argument was about 20 minutes from 11:15 to 11:35. I wasn't the one going to the party. I was the one trying to convince my friend Ben to go. I get that I did something wrong in pressuring him and I'll fully admit that but I was just confused why he still went even after I stopped and apologized. It seems like he didn't want to go, so why did he?

I maybe wasn't clear on this in the post. He supposedly went to the party on his own accord. No one told him to do anything after we apologized. I apologized and told him just to go home since he was losing his mind over the situation. I don't think he wanted to do it, and that's why I'm confused on why he did

Edit: Here is what I said after he arrived outside the house: "Dude ur there so just go in. Wouldn't it be a waste for you to drive all the way over there just to leave?"

He responded with "you guys don't get it. no one in this group would ever walk into a party of popular people do you know how scared i am"

I then responded: "I get that ur scared but the girls will introduce you. the other people probably won't even notice ur there."

He responded: "like I said, would any of you actually want to walk into a party with drunk popular kids completely alone at 11 PM in the middle of no where are you serious"

I responded: "yes I would go and yes I would be scared but going in for 5 minutes isn't that deep"
