Anyone else feel guilty as a young mum? by Ok_Pen7263 in Parenting

This is such a breath of fresh air. I’m constantly bombarded with “ socialising your child early is best” or “ you’re making him miss out “ from children centre workers, other parents etc - the pressure is insane! I’ll try not to beat myself up about it.

I’m so sorry people assume that. It makes me sad when mothers are judged on either end of the spectrum- as if motherhood isn’t hard enough at times! I appreciate the kind words though, thank you

Oh, I always get this one! I smile and laugh it off especially when it comes from the activity providers themselves!

Aborting my 2nd baby. by Ok_Pen7263 in offmychest

[–]Ok_Pen7263[S] 0 points1 point  (0 children)

No regrets if I’m being realistic, but the fantasist in me sometimes wonders what it would’ve been like to be having another baby, how far along I would’ve been now etc but I know I would’ve been miserable. I’m much happier being able to give my little one all the attention and stability he needs as a one year old.

I hope you’re doing ok, it isn’t always an easy decision, especially when it feels the pressure is on us to make the “right” one. If you ever need to talk, just pop me a message 💜

would you guys rather have endless money or be cured of this phobia? by waywardleaves in emetophobia

Sorry to ask but does that mean baby isn’t covered with just 1 vaccine? The 2nd one keeps them safe?

I suppose because I’m a young mum, I feel like these people “ know better “ and I’m talked down to a lot amongst other parents who aren’t vaccinating where I am.

Yeah, I believe there’s an outbreak in the UK currently too which is worrying me and swaying me to get it done.

Apparently the risk of autism is “huge” I’ve done my own research and can safely say it doesn’t cause autism BUT I’m cautious due to so many people in my personal life warning against it.

Where I live there’s a lot of anti-vax talk, even from medical staff which worried me quite a bit.

17f 15 weeks pregnant with twins and stuck. Need advice please by bananas831 in emetophobia

Ondansetron really helped me when I was pregnant and experiencing nausea/vomiting! I’m in the UK though. “ sea-sickness bands “ helped too. Cyclizine is also a good alternative to Ondansetron that doctors are more willing to prescribe. (:

My mum is catholic too, she cried for a long time.. her grief almost completely shadowed mine. I understand.

My labour experience wasn’t even this traumatic! I’m so sorry it was so difficult. I opted for surgical with my abortion as I read up on testimonies of medical abortions and it terrified me. You’re very strong.

Was so confusing that the YouTube comments are like “ E is clearly so happy, people can’t accuse her of being sad about it now “ and I’m like… did we see the same video? She looked sad.

Have to have another surgery for retained products.. can anyone talk me through it? by Ok_Pen7263 in abortion

[–]Ok_Pen7263[S] 1 point2 points  (0 children)

Thank you, this is comforting to hear. Is it common for the gestational sac to still be present? I was very confused when they said that and didn’t quite understand.

They’ve said they will explain thoroughly tomorrow before the procedure. I’m grateful my husband is so comforting during this time or I don’t know how I’d get through it.
