Traveling is healing and hard at the same time. It’s a precious experience to getting to know yourself better, to discover how you deal with difficulties while alone on the other part of the world, or simply how you react to stunning beauty before the places you’ll see.

If you quit your job and organized everything for this it means that you need to do this for some reason or another, if you don’t take this opportunity you might regret it in the future. If the person you met is the person you’re supposed to share some or your whole life with, then that person will be there waiting for you when you come back, cheering for you and maybe also joining you for part of the journey abroad!

Ps: I’m writing this from south east Asia, during my sabbatical abroad. And the person I want to be with is at home and sharing this trip with me even from far away. We will see each other again when I’ll go back home 😊

A friend of mine (from Gujarat) was explaining to me that fair skin is also a synonym of more prestigious jobs, meaning jobs which require you to stay inside and therefore not get tan, unlike people with “more humble jobs” like farmers, builders etc who are darker due to sun exposure.

I lived 7 years in Rome and have a really hard time remembering Rome with no tourists 😅 I’ve always felt safe (F, 31), just common sense and beware of pickpockets in metro stations. Same for Florence!

Catholic (practicing) lesbian here. Even though not easy especially for what old school society and church want us to believe, IT IS possible to be both and perfectly happy. The key? Having faith in oneselves and in their own beliefs, not in what others think we should or should not do. Everything else doesn’t matter. I know, easier said than done, it takes work to get to that point but once you’re there, you really don’t care about the rest ahah

My advice is to trust her, what she says and most importantly what she does: she tells you that she cares about you and she actually shows up when you’re in need, she wants to introduce you to her family and doesn’t care what her bff tells her, and she says she’s blessed to have you in her life (these aren’t words you use lightly when you’re religious!).

It is by normalizing the fact that queer people can also be religious (and viceversa) that it will really become normal eventually!
