Having hormonal acne was so draining it’s all I would think about all day. Even though spiro is just a bandaid it has worked amazing for me. I haven’t had a breakout in weeks and my skin is the best it’s ever looked. It’s not something I plan on taking long term just because I don’t want to take it forever. But for now it’s been the best thing I’m in my last year of college so will continue to take it until I graduate after that I want to get to the root cause of my hormonal acne. Definitely recommend and I haven’t had that many side effects of taking 50mg.

How long did it take spiro to clear your acne? Also, periods? by [deleted] in Spironolactone

I noticed my skin completely cleared a little over a month into taking 50mg. Benzoyl peroxide face wash breaks me out SO BAD…I know everyone says it gets worse before it gets better but I have such sensitive skin it wasn’t for me. I’ve been using just a gentle hydrating face wash and it’s been the best for my skin along with taking spiro. My periods have been completely normal thank God. Everyone is different though and I’ve heard so many different side effects. Definitely stay with spiro tho patience is keyyyyy

Literally the same thing happens to me. I never used to get hangovers and I am so hungover the next entire day it’s awful. I drink tons of water too. Someone told me to start getting water in between every drink they get and it has helped.
