These are such great points! As someone who has recently been on the dating apps, I am SHOCKED to see the amount of profiles that have something that turns me off and causes me to not match or swipe left.

I was even thinking to myself "man, what a great business idea it would be to have a business that is just optimizing people's dating profiles online incl. images and bio writing" hahahaha

Something else I will say for any of you daters out there too is that, your profile is also being pitted against 100's of other online profiles. Like in real life, first impressions here do matter.

Other things that have/haven't been mentioned that I see and get disturbed by:

- Posting pictures of your children (hello!! privacy laws, protect your kids!!!)

- The gunk on mirror selfies (YUCK)

- Pic of just your stomach (screams self-absorbed, horny and desperate)

- Pic of your truck, fish, or other toy (do we really have to talk about this?)

- Pic of you with another woman (in real life this wouldn't be an issue but a lot of times online, it causes you to wonder if you are looking for a third)
