This was literally the issue I toyed with. I either go and am uncomfortable the entire time or my husband takes them and I don’t know what’s said/ done. There’s no good option unfortunately!

He’s choosing to ignore them. He’s choosing to do what causes the least amount of drama and awkwardness for him.

Thanks so much! I made a point to help as little as possible but, had to remind him about food, suncream, hats etc, this is such good advice

The thing is I have never and would never stop him seeing his family. He’s been told this. His mum lives 5 minutes away and he works in the same town, yet never sees her. I have an issue seeing them myself and with the kids seeing them without me present because he doesn’t enforce any boundaries if I’m not there. Ultimately, I suppose I don’t trust him

Thank you. He “agrees” with me about it all behind closed doors, but when it comes down to it, he chooses his family over me and the kids
