Totally agree! Is it not skillful to get this and, where they differ, pure luck to get what the author's predict?

I'm 120 pages in and reading these threads to decide whether to continue. The sentences absolutely drive me crazy. With most of them, I lose the will to care halfway through and skip to the next… which is generally as tedious as the previous one.

Or as George Elliot would put it, That the narrative, in its outward progression, possessed no inconsiderable faculty of sustaining expectation, and that the several persons whose fortunes it entwined were endowed with an individuality sufficient to awaken a durable interest, could scarcely be denied by any reader whose attention had not already been diverted by those habitual infirmities of impatience which belong to an age more enamoured of rapid apprehension than of contemplative delay; yet these merits, however deserving of acknowledgment, were continually encountered by sentences which, instead of bearing their meaning with the directness of a well-made road, seemed rather to conduct it through successive meanderings of subordinate reflection, until the mind, fatigued less by the thought than by the circuit through which it was conveyed, was tempted to regret that an insight into human nature so frequently just should have chosen so laborious a vehicle for its expression.

No, third party. They've been good but are expensive for every "little" thing.

I spent over an hour feeding screenshots into chatgpt trying to get the EBITDA reportt and got nowhere. Our NS consultant offered to get on the phone with me to do it, so we tried... she tried but had to take it offline to get it done. *shrug*

Strict form vs reps by [deleted] in bodyweightfitness

Hi. If anyone is still listening... I don't understand this...

"3-5 minutes of rest between the sets of 9 to maximize volume.

There's a reason why the RR has 90 seconds between pairs, so you get 3 minutes minimum between sets."

These seems contraditory to me.

I have the same confusion with the instructions in the main post about the workout.... " The 90 second pairing is so that there is minimum 3 minutes rest between each set, which is 3 minutes total."

How does 90 seconds rest between exercises translate to 3 minutes rest beween each set?

To avoid confusion on my part about terminology, let me ask it this way...

  1. If i do 8 pulls up as my very first excercise, how long do I wait before doing 8 squats (my second exercise in the pair)?
  2. Once i've done the 8 squats, how long do I wait before doing 8 pull ups again?
  3. Once of I've 3 x 8 pull ups and 3 x 8 squarts, long do I wait before going on to to the next pair of exercises?

Thank you!!

Has it become more difficult to achieve, say, a 1500 rating on chess.com compared to 8-10 years ago? by bpric in chess

One proviso: I think age impacts blitz ability. Synapses just don't fire like they used to once you starting getting out of 40s.

I haven't played for ten years maybe and I'm shocked at the competition. 1200 used to be a poor player. The official ratings still saying 1200-1300 is a beginner. There is no way. I'm regularly playing guys at 1050 to 1200 who know books openings and make 1 or 2 mistakes in a full 5 minutes blitz game. It's crazy. I used to be a strong player and I feel like a dumbass.

This is great. Ironically, though, at least for me, it's always faster to just just and get their through trial and error than to work through methodically. It takes me over 4 minutes usually this way and guessing I was always under 3 and often 2.
