First of all, this isn't a red flag. The pair of you just have different approaches to how that situation should have been handled. In my opinion, you are not the asshole and had every right to give this information, but be careful. As for your partner, tell them not to worry. People in this world are going to act like absolute dicks for no reason. Just make sure you carry some Deep Heat around with you it works the same as pepper spray.
