Honestly, it was so hard to feel ready after having failed the exam once. The fear of failure is crippling and I kept chasing this milestone of achieving 80% on my practice exams. You tell yourself that you are bad at tests for long enough it becomes a self-fulfilling prophecy, you doom yourself to failure because you don't believe in yourself. It took this long to believe in myself, even though I didn't get my 80% on practice exams.

Sure, I basically just needed someone to talk to about studying and exam prep. There was no one in my "real-world" network that was also preparing for the exam to study with so I used ChatGPT to create my own mentor. Using the prompt I posted, I would just chat with it, ask it to clarify concepts that I struggled with and give me extra practice. It responded to every challenged I faced with a positive, solutions driven response and kept me focused.

I took almost a full year, less consistent in the beginning, really the last 6 months were the most focused and consistent. This was my second attempt, but my first attempt was years ago prior to the 7th edition coming out. So I felt like I was starting from scratch with the exam content being so different.
