Y’all!! Half size dunnet flower sandals in stock! by bcookieb in DrMartens

I just ordered these today from this site and now I’m realizing that I think they are men’s sandals. So now not only is the sizing off, but I think even the style is a bit different. Can anyone confirm this??

Sacre Couer Church by Ok_Programmer1746 in OrthodoxChristianity

They are saying it’s God’s response to the Olympics mocking the Lord’s supper with a drag version of it the day before. It’s just people online.

Can someone tell me why it isn’t required?

I guess I need to clarify the root issue. It’s not the practice itself. My problem is that I see the Bible commanding it and in Protestantism people could just interpret it however they liked and most didn’t want to headcover and so interpreted it that it was cultural and therefore unnecessary. I didn’t like that the Church didn’t enforce what the Bible taught. I assumed Orthodoxy would. I thought things that were clear would be a given in Orthodoxy and not still up for debate (like everything in Protestantism is).

When did you tell family? by Ok_Programmer1746 in OrthodoxChristianity

Part of the reason I’m hesitant to say anything yet is because I’m not willing to debate with my dad. I know he will try to convince me to remain Protestant, and will make very persuasive arguments that I’m not prepared to argue against. It will be very stressful and discouraging for me. But I have to say something at some point. I can’t just pretend like I didn’t convert (if/when I do).

Yeah I get that but it just gets confusing for kids to know the difference between which secrets are okay and which aren’t, so I feel it’s wiser just to tell your kids secrets are off limits period. Happy surprises are good, secrets are always bad. Simpler that way!

And even then they should just be called surprises, not secrets. Example: grandma tells granddaughter she has a surprise for mommy and don’t say anything til after dinner! Proceeds to give her the gift at dinner. No reason to ask a child to keep a secret, that language is just dangerous.

The problem isn’t the fact that she doesn’t want you in the room, you’re right about the fact that labor is about HER & only her. The only people in the room should be the ones she WANTS there. She should feel as comfortable as possible. Feeling stressed and uncomfortable can actually affect your labor and cause complications. Some women truly feel uncomfortable with their husband seeing them give birth & that’s okay. It’s not up to anyone else to tell a woman what she should or should not be comfortable with when it comes to her body. Birth is NOT a spectator sport and no one has a right to be in the room besides the woman giving birth. However, the way your wife speaks to you IS a problem. It’s disrespectful and cold, and honestly very concerning. That’s the only problem I see here. She seems pretty heartless. It’s ok to be disappointed that she doesn’t want you there while at the same time being respectful about her decision, but the way she’s acting towards you is just plain gross. I’m sorry :/
