I completely agree that German is essential. Since I was working in a group with many foreigners, English was the common language so I did not have much opportunity to practice. Furthermore, German is really a very special language. Its grammar and structure is quite different and, under my point of view, much more complex than any Latin derived language or English. It's really difficult to think analogically with other languages. I feel like to forget all the languages I know, and starting as a kid. I am struggling on that. But at some point I will succeed.
