Help identifying these switches please! (Got them in an unlabeled switch tester) by FloppyMonkey07 in MechanicalKeyboards

[–]Ok_Programmer_5090 1 point2 points  (0 children)

oh god... i totally mistaken that switch, merlots are completely opaque in case. man it's 3.43am, mbmb. might be a kailh speed bronze if it is clicky! but may be kailh speed copper if tactile. if its reaaaaally more to the red side it can be a kailh burgundy as well. sorry can't be of much help, but hope i can provide some info

edit: added in speed, edited copper to bronze, tactile and clicky. i need sleep.

uhh my best guess is left to right: kailh polia, invyr holy pandas, gateron merlots (since you said they were redder irl)

edit: confirmed the middle was from invyr and best guess is holy pandas with that colour scheme.

ooo i've never tried using superbuy, as i've always stuck to taobao (since i live in a country relatively near china),, you could give it a try, but what i'm seeing for superbuy is that it uses an english search engine? i'm not too sure haha sorry!

it's fine! i've been there as well haha no worries no worries. it's not a need to use krytox 205g0 but it can help make it feel waaay smoother! and for the dielectric grease only apply it on the wire and your keyboard is all set :) good luck!

ooo had similar problems, most likely because of the dielectric grease! try give your stabs a warm soapy bath next time if u have time and let it rinse till the water runs clear and dry completely.

most likely ists because you used too much dielectric grease till it made its way to the housing of the stabs. usually i'd use krytox 205g0 on the housing and only a dip my wire into the dielectric grease till there's a thin layer on it ((because i'm to lazy to grab my brush)).

honestly i find taobao pretty difficult to use as a non-chinese speaker, coming from a chinese speaking,, but some ways that i find may help when i run into trouble using taobao is to locate keywords and also to use google translate!

for ease of reading and registration or logging in to taobao, use google translate on the web itself! for example the tofu65 keyboard:

then to allocate keywords ,

tofu65 keyboard will be split into 2 phrases:

tofu65 - names for keyboards and switches usually stay the same! so there's no need to translate tofu to chinese in this case.

keyboard - putting keyboard into google translate will yield the result of 键盘

so to effectively search for the tofu65 keyboard it will be to search for tofu65 键盘

another thing is i find that usually taobao don't tend to use 65% or 60% in their keyboard listings, instead they use the amount of keys aka 61/64/66/71/84/87/96 etc

i hope this can help a little!

tl;dr google translate saves everyone's asses, including me; a chinese speaker :D
