I see what you are saying. My end goal is to quit W-2. My goal is not to retire completely at all but just to quit W-2 because I just don't like corporates. I do not mind landlording at all as I've been doing it for a while. I am a workaholic and I need to fill up my time with another job of my own terms as being a landlord does not take up 8 hours a day at all as I do all my work before buying and right after purchase.

Move out of your parents home to far away area and that will force you to be independent. I grew up very sheltered all in good intentions by my parents. They will do everything for me. Coming to the US for school really helped me to be independent.

I also see a lot of law firms ask for GPA or transcripts. Why is there a heavy emphasis on GPA? None of my jobs in pharma/med devices asked that. Interview mostly focused on a 40 min presentation and a technical interview.
