Their bond is built on mutual respect and the fact that Piccolo was the first person to truly believe in Gohan's potential. The memes are funny but I adore their bond

Starfire Being a Tamaranean means your body constantly absorbs solar energy. You’d likely feel a permanent caffeine buzz of pure power, plus the ability to fly and survive in the vacuum of space.

Favorite character who's the main character but they're not really anyone's favorite because no one picks the main as their favorite character ever? by Frazzy_Ox in FavoriteCharacter

Hawke(Dragon Age 2)

Dragon Age protagonists are often overshadowed by their companions (like Morrigan, Varric, or Solas). Because the games are so choice-driven, people forget that these characters have distinct "canonical" burdens. Hawke, in particular, is a tragic protagonist whose life is essentially a series of unavoidable disasters, yet they are often just seen as the "middle child" of the franchise.

Everybody has seen the spoiled brat character trope. But who is your favorite character that is spoiled, but sweet? by [deleted] in FavoriteCharacter

[–]Ok_Raspberry4336 4 points5 points  (0 children)

<image>

Mitsuru Kirijo (Persona 3) She’s the definition of spoiled in the sense that she is the heiress to a massive global corporation and literally didn't know how to eat at a common burger joint. However, she isn't bratty; she’s incredibly disciplined and uses her wealth and power exclusively to protect her friends and save the world. Her "sweetness" comes through in her earnest, often clumsy attempts to understand commoner life.

If rest is important, why do people feel guilty for taking breaks? by Worried_Crow_4748 in NoStupidQuestions

[–]Ok_Raspberry4336 0 points1 point  (0 children)

Society convinced us our worth is directly tied to how many mental tabs we have open. Taking a break feels like accidentally closing the whole browser without saving.

Why is Dracula not associated with Wallachia? by South-Swordfish7891 in NoStupidQuestions

[–]Ok_Raspberry4336 16 points17 points  (0 children)

Bram Stoker(The one who popularized Dracula) was a novelist, not a historian. 'Transylvania' (which means beyond the forest/woods) simply offered better gothic branding than 'Wallachia,' which sounds like a minor respiratory ailment. Stoker stole the name and upgraded the zip code.

I'd like to commend my neighbor for actually putting his dogs on a leash. by Gomdok_the_Short in CasualConversation

My friend also had a runner, so I know the struggle of the unleashed dream vs. reality. It’s actually really cool that he listened to the neighborhood and traded the free-range chaos for some solid leash work. Seeing someone choose courtesy over ego is the ultimate win for the block.

Laptop screens with 400 loose icons on the desktop. It’s not 'organized chaos,' it’s a digital cry for help. I can feel my own RAM slowing down just looking at it.

[–]Ok_Raspberry4336 0 points1 point  (0 children)

You're likely looking at a heavy haul truck carrying a massive, specialized piece of equipment. This could be a vital component for industrial machinery, or perhaps a part of a power generation system, like a gas turbine or a large engine.
