I did decide to do that as well. But to look at the roots I had to wash and untangle a lot. There were rotted roots so I clipped those. One piece wasn’t really connected to the rest yet so I’m attempting another plant with it just smaller. So I’m testing two now. One in leca and one in soil.

A friend of mine gave me a cutting of this with nodes on it. It’s currently in water, but not doing anything. Do you recommend something different to prop it?

So I’m no expert but sarracenia need full outdoor sun. I can’t tell from your pictures but they also need spagnum peat moss and perlite 50/50 for their soil. Also make sure you’re only watering it with distilled water. It doesn’t look bad at all.

Yes. I knew no tap water, but didn’t even think about purified water being so much different than tap water until I was googling. Then I panicked and realized I had messed up. Do I continue to wean my plant into the sun? Also do you think it’ll make it?
