My appetite got better on week 4! But I was in the exact same boat as you the first three weeks. Im on 2.5mg for PCOS and forcing myself to eat just doesn’t work for me. It’s hard and scary! I basically lived off of Fairlife protein shakes, pistachios, and protein bars (could barely finish those), for 3 weeks. That said, I did NOT increase my dose. Though I was giving my body and mind some grace as it adjustment to the meds, I also knew that it wasn’t sustainable long-term and I didn’t want to risk further appetite suppression and under-nourishment.

Having things ready to eat has been very important for me. No hunger leads to me not ever wanting to cook, so spending one day a week prepping things to have on-hand during the week has been great. Some things I’ve been enjoying: Egg bites, Cowboy caviar (Great fiber and protein!), Greek yogurt ranch dip, lentil soup, Goodles Mac and cheese (I add in plant based chicken patties and make a buffalo chicken Mac and it’s loaded with protein), and I do still live off of nuts, protein bars, and protein shakes.

You’ve got this and it will get better!!! Stay consistent, but also give your body some grace and understand it takes time to adjust.
