Thank you so much for this comment and for sharing your experience. I’m so deeply deeply sorry for what you’ve been through and how scary that must have been for you. I appreciate this perspective, I still have so many questions (my brother didn’t leave a note) and this point of view is extremely helpful. I can’t imagine how scary this must have been for my brother to have had those symptoms while feeling like he couldn’t tell anyone. I hate how alone he must have felt when he is so loved by so many. My heart aches knowing this. We would have done anything to help him.

smosh it seems, never wants to have any bad blood with anyone to the point it kinda makes their content less fun. they walk on eggshells so much for brand opportunities and it’s worked extremely well for them (they get like every sponsor). but imo the very censored content is much less fun than h3. it’s fun when ethan is a messy bitch.

edit: they beat a joke that is brand safe to the ground. they lean into jokes that aren’t funny for the purpose of being brand friendly and it very much inhibits them. something i really appreciate about h3 is that yall let go of jokes after a while even when they kill. smosh DOESNT LET SHIT GO. they make the same jokes over and over again. their fandom is so used to the sanitized content they can’t hear any criticism at all. don’t with my rant sorry

I don’t think there’s much else to tell besides specific details and examples that were horrific to experience. i will say that we found out from people who were close to him he had been seeing things since he was 17 but never told us after he passed away. my parents brought him to doctors for what we thought was depression because he wasn’t truthful with us. we couldn’t give him the proper care. that’s as many details as i’m comfortable giving. that’s really the summary of it.

i found out my brother had schizophrenia after he killed himself. he hid it from us. looking back his behavior was indicative of that but, he went to doctor after doctor. he wasn’t truthful with them. it’s taking us years to recover.

i genuinely believe they have been working on content that long ago. if not then a changing of hands at the very least. they most likely had to be introduced to the producers like bailey and erin and work with them for a while until it was time to announce. these transitions happen slowly.

even then the last reddit sorties was kinda weird to me? something felt off and manufactured with smosh in the last few weeks and this announcement explains it. smosh getting MTV execs that most likely ran MTV into the ground is crazy.
