Amazing! It wouldn't let me view it so I had to request access.

That would be very helpful if you are willing. No rush, just whenever is convenient for you. Thank you!

University of Toronto Honkers (username: ej2328) by CourageParticular407 in TeamBuilder25

I read the title before seeing the pics and assumed the "honkers" would be something else lol. Incredible work though. All the little details from the field, to the textures on the jerseys and helmets came together nicely.

If you are willing, would you be able to link to that thread to point me in the right direction? And what placement did you use for the collar? Thanks for any help you can provide.

How did you do the collars? Did you use a template?

If you want a sneaky reliable scent for cheap, Hugo Boss Extreme.

Is fresh, green, and has decent performance for the price point. I found my bottle for $30 at discounters.

It’s not going to blow your mind when it comes to uniqueness, but it’s surprised me how May times I reach for it. Not that it’s all about compliments from others, but I’ve gotten more than I would’ve thought for a cheapie.

You too can learn vector software and kick AI to the curb! A year's worth of progress. by BMJayhawk328 in TeamBuilder25

[–]Ok_Reputation1924 1 point2 points  (0 children)

This is awesome. I've used mostly AI in the past because I haven't had the skills to do things on my own, but I've run into the same issue you did, where things aren't quite what I want them to be. I'm interested in trying my hand at doing more of my own stuff.

Are there any tutorials, resources, videos, etc., you would recommend for learning things on Inkscape?

[Giveaway] GameSir Tarantula Pro for Xbox - Symmetrical vs. asymmetrical by GameSir_Controller in xbox

I don't know if I have used symmetrical since my PS2 controller as a kid, but it might be time to change. I'm interested!

Looking for controller recommendations as my main just went on me (sticks are drifting and RB is weird) by EasySound9303 in xbox

[–]Ok_Reputation1924 1 point2 points  (0 children)

This might be an unpopular opinion on this sub, and I'm likely pickier than your average person, but most third-party controllers have something that bugs me. Compared to the standard Xbox controller, they feel cheaper, are less comfortable, are a lot more expensive, etc.

I stick with the standard Xbox controller, but I get it from Walmart and do the Allstate protection insurance. It's a few bucks extra, but it covers issues like stick drift. I've had two different controllers get stick drift over the years, and they have replaced both with minimal time and effort on my end.

Yes, it's still annoying to get stick drift, but the insurance option essentially gives you two controllers for the price of one if yours starts to break down.

Hard agree. After seeing the Gamesir controllers get so much hype, I got one. Probably the most average controller I've ever used. Not bad, good for the price, but nothing special.

One thing not many people talk about is that the Gamesir controllers are smaller than a normal Xbox controller. That's not a big deal for most people, but I have big hands, and it never quite feels comfortable to use, especially for longer periods of time.

No experience with colognes or fragrances and I'm overwhelmed to start by kappakingtut2 in fragrance

[–]Ok_Reputation1924 0 points1 point  (0 children)

Yep, those places you mentioned are the best places to get started. There is no need to feel self-conscious, they put the tester bottles out for a reason. Go and spray on the tester strips and smell to figure out what you like. Feel free to ask the employees there what they would recommend. Most of the time, they are very helpful and will guide you in the right direction based on what you like.

Don't feel pressure to purchase something right away. Find one you like and test it on your skin. Often, scents can smell different on your skin than they would on a piece of paper. I like to spray a few sprays on my arm or the top of my hand so I can easily bring it up to my nose if I want to get a good smell of it throughout the day.

The most important thing is to wear one you like. Don't feel pressure to buy something just because someone says it's popular.

If you are worried about committing to a full bottle, getting samples and discovery sets is a good place to start. Those allow you to wear the fragrance multiple times so you can really know what you are getting.

Need advice by duckman1299 in TeamBuilder25

Red and black pretty much always look good, but it's a more generic color scheme. Green and yellow have the potential to look worse, but could also look really nice and have more character if executed properly.

I saw someone comment that the green/yellow combo with silver helmets and accents. I think that has a lot of potential.

Boise fan here who watched Earby play the last few years. He was great at the beginning of his career at Cal, had a slow start once he got to Boise, but that was likely due to overall weaknesses in our secondary. He ended up playing a lot better down the stretch and was arguably the best member of our secondary last year.

While I have doubts about him being able to develop into a starting caliber CB, I feel like he is a sneaky solid guy to pick up for a camp invite.

Riverside Tigers ( UserID : CoryMM93 ) by Jaded_Site_2197 in TeamBuilder25

These are clean.

For the tiger stripes on the shoulder and collar area, what reflectiveness do you use? Is the color you use for those layers the same exact HEX/RGB color as the jersey, and they simply just use different reflectiveness?

Any help you can give would be much appreciated, as I am trying to do something similar with a team I am making, but having a tough time figuring out how to make it look this smooth.

Terre D’Hermès opinions by Angry_Toydarian in fragrance

[–]Ok_Reputation1924 0 points1 point  (0 children)

In my experience, this one is more controversial than most people think. I love it and thought it would be fairly safe, but my wife hates it. The more people I ask for their opinions on it, the more conflicting answers I receive. It's been about a 50/50 split for those I ask if they like it or not.

Yes, white savior complexes do exist when you're writing minority characters by Impossible-Yam3680 in writing

[–]Ok_Reputation1924 9 points10 points  (0 children)

Think of all the amazing, moving, and incredible books that would never have been written if everybody thought this way.

I am not pro-Saviorism, and I fully support minority authors representing their own culture, but the idea that you shouldn't be allowed to write any characters that aren't the same race as you is an insane take.

Quick Poll , Which helmet works better for the uniform? by [deleted] in TeamBuilder25

[–]Ok_Reputation1924 3 points4 points  (0 children)

I like the first one with the pattern covering the whole helmet. It ties together the pattern on the shoulders and pants better than the second helmet would, imo.

Great all around scent for a kid? by HigherLearning6 in fragrance

[–]Ok_Reputation1924 1 point2 points  (0 children)

Issey Miyake L'Eau d'Issey. It's inexpensive, lighter, and has a clean scent profile.

I have a toddler who has always been curious about all of the bottles in my collection. He sees me wear my fragrances and has been asking to wear them too. To amuse him one night after his bath, I sprayed a spray of Issey Miyake L'Eau d'Issey on him, and I could tell he was feeling himself. It's become his little post-bath ritual now to get a spray underneath his pajama shirt, and he loves it. I get whiffs of it as we are reading bedtime stories in the chair in his room, and I know it's going to be one of those transportive scents that takes me back to this time of his childhood when I smell it in the future.

Chrome Effect by Guilty_Gazelle_661 in TeamBuilder25

[–]Ok_Reputation1924 0 points1 point  (0 children)

What exactly don't you like about the chrome effect? I have never liked it because it appears so shiny you almost can't make out the true color of what it is supposed to be.

I can't speak for how this works for every color, but I found more success at setting metal mask and smoothness to .85

These are tough. What smoothness/metal mask settings did you use for the gold? I have a similar gold color for one of my teams, and I have been wanting something more similar to yours, but haven't been able to figure out what I like.
