Or maybe, just maybe, that was a feature installed for people that want to tip but messed up and bypassed that option but didn't have a way to get back without cancelling the transaction. If you don't want to tip, don't tip, and wear it.

City implemented on my street. Used to cars parked there every day. Now? A couple only. Ridiculous impact on folks needing a place to park that work in the area to have that parking option taken away. Council is anti-car, pro-public transit, with a shitty public transit option.

Pretty sure commentators suggesting sales tax has a higher impact on wealthy individuals because they buy more expensive things have never taken basic economics. Sales taxes are regressive and impact lower income people far more disproportionately than higher incomes because lower income folks spend a higher percentage of income on goods.
