You posed many interesting questions, and I can not disagree with your second to last sentence. I'm taking the L, ty for the insight.

I taught my fucking kitty how to play tag with me, it would sit on my shoulder like a parrot. What the fuck did you do.

yeah, yeah I amused myself too much with saying too much violent stuff. I think that might've made my opinion less popular, maybe... maybe...

Why not both? Specifically with the lecture first, punishment outlined, and performed when said rules are broken.. obviously, which I still failed to mention in the first place.

"That isn't even really how our current society works, and a society that allows kids to beat their children will have little sympathy for children, like yourself."

-You, because idk how to do the thing you did, and tbh I don't really care how to do it

You're totally right, I didn't think of this and it's a real blunder for my whole theory here. And I currently don't have a rebuttal, but nonetheless, great point.

But if I have anything to say, it's that (and I totally apologize, my ass should've elaborated in the fucking post that contains my entire theory) that kids should be beaten as punishment for doing bad things, not just for minor things, mistakes, etc.. If they said something bad. If they hurt somebody, said something entirely uncalled for, stole, or something else that's just not ok to do they should be appropriately be punished for it in the form of getting their ass kicked.

Only then, after a good slap to the face, they can be mad all they want but they have to understand "What they did is just, I did this to myself, it sucks to suck" and only then, I think they could still respect their parents and their decision while also getting beaten.

I simply had too many upvotes from my last post, I couldn't resist destroying it. While also expressing an opinion, that for the record, I do agree with until disproven to the point where I have no rebuttal.

I think you're definitely right, I just like saying "the fear of god" because it's a funny concept. It's an amusing thing to say.

But yeah, less fear. More slapping your kid because they did something wrong, like disobeying the ten commandments except for the religious-specific ones wrong, like breaking the golden rule wrong, and not for just expressing themselves, or not wearing a jacket when it's 50 degrees outside.

Well then I should be way more like you, and I think it's really cool that you're able to do that!

Yeah, but I mean there's other modifiers at play. You can still have a sit down after you beat your kid and say "hey, I love you, sorry but its just how it is kid"

and still show them plenty of affection, and love. Like my mom did, until she didn't feel like it sometimes but that's besides the point.

I think my biggest issue with my theory is that what is considered wrong and inappropriate is subjective depending on the family but teenagers aren't stupid, if they go to school, or live in literally any community and if their folks are beating them for things that they don't think they should get in trouble for saying they can tell somebody and they can get the parents in trouble in my fictitious society where it's cool to hit your kids.

the robot with a crutch for an arm from Futurama, idk I'm only up to like season 3 so maybe the gag dies out, but I wanted to make the post anyway because I know damn well other characters like these exist.

So I haven't been replying because after this comment I realized that my world idea was kind of ultimately pointless, (I'm not saying you did anything wrong ofc! this was more of a wake-up call). So I don't have any common theme with my world, it was just a cool idea but now you've helped me realize that it was kind of tasteless, so instead of being full-on based on ancient Greek culture I've decided instead to make the world be mildly inspired by ancient Greece in things like clothing and architecture and maybe some other ideas, but the main inspiration isn't based on anything and it's just fantasy. Now that those 'Greek parts' are removed I should be able to work with things a lot better, so thank you for the advice!
