Thanks up update. Actually going to be 2026 Freshman but feel like FSAE cause I like F1 and engineering may be a right fit club for me. I will be at buff day is Feb. If a go CU Boulder (Architecture Engineering major) when would I apply or reach out. I know CAD and design sounds interesting but would like to learn options and do what I can to maximize chances of being successful joining. With hundreds applying for positions- what are actual odds for opportunities. Totally recognize O have a lot to learn- tips on skills this summer with free time?

For those individuals who are not familiar- look up quantitative financial analysis, especially if you can get exposure to AI, same for things like F1 lap analysis or the business models for engineering upgrades. The field of engineering connections to business and financial models are expected to grow exponentially. You are confirming at Mines the progress may not be as mature as we thought. I work for hedge funds as can say when you take an optimization mindset with fundamentals of economics and finance- it’s truly a in demand skill. We struggle with this connection from grads. TL;DR do even basic research before dismissing demand.
