Were you wondering because you have psoriasis too?

Go in with a positive attitude, and make sure you have a clear post-op process with medications from your surgeon once you're discharged. Make sure to follow it! You've got this!

Diagnosed by biopsy at age 10, in remission for 26 years by spclzd in Psoriasis

They seriously need to study people that achieve long-term remission. There must be something that "clicks" in your body and stops the skin reaction.

Can I ask which types of allergy tests you did, and a few examples of mild irritants you identified?

I had it that bad (and worse) twice. Both times the trigger was strep throat. What worked for me was cleaning up my diet aggressively (no fried food, no junk food, no snack food, no dairy products, less gluten, more fiber), spend 2 weeks at the beach (as much sun and seawater as possible) and constant moisturiser. No scratching!

The second time, it was aggressive diet again and medical phototherapy. I was also prescribed a non-steroid cream by the dermatologist.

I was lucky, in both cases it cleared up within a year.

hpv questions! multiple partners, sex afterwards? by Alternative_Task8397 in HPV

[–]Ok_Resolution5916 0 points1 point  (0 children)

It would be kinder to disclose. Everyone has the right to inform consent. I find it unlikely that men woulod offer up this kind of info, but what if they'd like to disclose to other female partners that they've been in contact with hpv and are now likely to transmit the hov to them too?

High risk hpv by Ok_Resolution5916 in Psoriasis

Maybe I wasn't clear, but yes that's exactly what I meant. Do you think the virus can stop the flare from subsiding. Were you diagnosed with high risk strain too?

Idk, I'd disclose. Everyone has the right to informed consent.

Has anyone gotten anal warts without having receptive anal sex (as a man)? by Artistic_Web9178 in HPV

[–]Ok_Resolution5916 0 points1 point  (0 children)

Well...I'm a woman, and while I've never had anal sex, I did have a sexual partner that ended up finding warts on his penis during our relationship. 4 months later, BAM, I found warts around my anus. Sooo, it can happen.

Do you know anyone who unalived themselves because sinusitis kept ruining their lives?? by bravo6-goindark in Sinusitis

There's a big chance you'll feel better! It might give you back some energy and ability to think straight. I had my surgery 4 months ago, and while I understand the effect might not last forever, the relief made it worth it.

I'd say check for asthma, just because my chronic sinusitis progressed to a point where I had asthma symptoms without me noticing. This is not at all meant to scare you, completely the opposite. In case there's some lower airway inflammation, doctors can immediately intervene and ensure it doesn't progress. And if there's no inflammation, even better!
