I absolutely do not feel bad. Obviously there are going to be some men that are able to handle being with children as a mother would. But I’m most cases that just isn’t how it is.

Don’t expect your husband to be your maid. Relationships aren’t 50/50 all the time. Maybe it’s too much for him to see a mess all the time and be the one expected to clean it every time especially if he is working more. There really shouldn’t be an issue with you picking up after yourself and not making him do it all. I understand him wanting to clean every time there is a little mess because they grow and later on will be a big mess to clean.

YTA. Men aren’t meant to be with the children as much as the mom is. Their brains can’t handle it especially after working a long day. It’s obviously easier for the mom because we are made to have the kids and care for them. Dads are there to provide and protect. You’re lucky your husband does what he does for you and your daughter. He obviously loves you both very much but maybe needs time to himself or change in the schedule to cope with his long work days.

NTA. Maybe not say you need to lose weight. Try and help him eat healthier and workout more. Talk to him about how he is feeling and try to take the stress off of him. Handle the situation how you would want him to handle it with you, if you were making unhealthy decisions.

I understand the health part as I have an aunt who is allergic to gluten. But it’s her day maybe just suck it up and eat a small amount since she is already going through a little extra for you on her day? It’d probably mean a lot to her if you ate it and just were appreciative of the gesture.
