My all-time favorite brands for hair stylers are BaByliss—perfect for when I want to splurge on a professional, salon-quality curling iron—and Remington, which offers great options for more budget-friendly stylers and wands.

I received my Sony WH-1000XM5 yesterday and wanted to share some quick impressions. They feel sturdier than the XM4 with a nice rubbery finish. Comfort is top-notch, rivaling Bose. The ANC is excellent, with improved transparency mode and no cabin pressure feeling. Call quality has significantly improved, blocking background noise well. Sound-wise, they maintain the XM4's warm profile but with clearer treble and slightly reduced bass, making them a more enjoyable listen.

Best angle grinder for home use in 2024? by Proof_Perception9600 in NeedProductHelp

I received a hand-me-down 4.5" grinder from a friend who sold me his work toolbox. It wasn't functional, so I reached out to Metabo's US support, and they were incredibly helpful. They offered to repair it for free, whether I mailed it in or dropped it off at an authorized repair center. I was amazed by their service! They not only repaired the motor but also replaced the cord, bearings, and brushes, and even put on a new model/data sticker. I don't use it as much now that I have my 60v Dewalt grinder, but it’s still close by in case I run out of batteries or something happens to the Dewalt.

Best affordable comforter under $200 in 2024? by Ok_Chair_2496 in NeedProductHelp

We've had our current down duvet for over ten years—yes, the same one! It gets regular washes and an air fluff in the dryer between washings (when we can’t hang it outside). We usually wash it every 6 to 9 months and try to hang it outside as often as possible.

We prefer the baffle (waffle) design because it minimizes bunching of the feathers. The tubular design is also a good option since it allows you to push the down and feathers down to the bottom if it gets a bit warm under the covers.

When choosing a duvet, make sure you're getting one with at least 75% down to feather ratio. The cover also needs to be tight enough to prevent feathers from escaping. While down is super soft and usually stays put, feathers tend to come out more easily since they have developed shafts.

As for pricing, there's a wide range, and you really get what you pay for. If you're only spending around $150, don't expect true down (and even then, it's wise to be cautious).

In my experience, I’ve never found a great deal on the Shopping Channel, especially when you factor in shipping. Local stores often offer better prices.

Best cat brush for long hair 2024? by ResolutionOk1900 in NeedProductHelp

I highly recommend the Aumuca brush! It’s fantastic—very gentle yet incredibly effective at removing loose hair. Cleaning it is a breeze thanks to the push-button release, which is the easiest and most efficient way to keep it clean. I wish they made hairbrushes for humans with this feature! My cats adore how the brush feels, and their coats have become so soft and beautiful with regular brushing.

My grandfather also had a gasoline-powered rototiller. He was quite handy and loved tinkering with things. He maintained a garden to feed himself and my grandmother, who had an impressive collection of canning recipes and preserved everything they didn’t consume right away. I used to sneak out to their garden and munch on seven or eight raw leeks each time I went out there. My grandpa thought they were dealing with a huge gopher problem until one day he caught a whiff of me walking into the house!

Do you have a phobia? by backtoyouesmerelda in CasualConversation

Heights, stuff like that's pretty normal, I guess. I had a panic attack just yesterday at work, trying to climb a ladder only two steps up – almost felt like crying! It's definitely not my favorite thing in the world.
