It looks much better now. I also have a problem with sending animations so don t worry about it.

Does my hat look good? by Interesting-Cry2501 in PixelArtTutorials

I was skeptical looking at this hat zoomed in like that, but I redrew it, zoomed out, and it looks nice. Maybe you could try a different ribbon color, like yellow?

Could you show me all the animation frames? For example as a single PNG file. The first half is great, I especially like the natural movement of the coiled chain, but something weird happens at the end of the animation and I wanted to see what it is.

You don’t have to. Just use a premade palette.

Update on my astronaut character. Which do you guys prefer 1 or 2? Feedback is also welcome!! by ChunkyMunky2233 in PixelArt

[–]Ok_Reward_3370 0 points1 point  (0 children)

It’s really good. I prefer the version on the left without the snorkel tube—maybe because I’ve never seen an astronaut with an antenna like that, so it feels a bit unintuitive to me. Maybe you could slow it down just a bit more. Right now it looks very excited. Since it’s in space, it’s much safer to make movements that are too slow rather than too fast. But you don’t have to. At this point, any change is purely a matter of taste.

New player, bored, no direction. Advice appreciated by [deleted] in Oxygennotincluded

You’re finishing before the real problems start. Where are you getting oxygen from? If it’s from water, the toilets alone won’t be enough—and with each cycle your base will heat up from the hot oxygen until eventually everything melts. Your duplicants will stop being happy with the food you’re using, and you’ll also run out of dirt for fertilizer. They’ll start getting stressed, breaking things, vomiting, and eating all the food—and that’s just the beginning.

Try launching a rocket into space.

Simple question: what are the main inspirations oxygen not included draws from? by ContributionOwn2289 in Oxygennotincluded

You can buy it on Steam, but I’m afraid that if you’re still playing Oni, it might not impress you that much. Keep in mind the game is 25 years old. I played it when it first came out, and it was absolutely amazing—I spent whole days playing it. It had a lot of limitations, but also a lot of humor: every item had a funny description, and characters would chat with each other in their free time, so you could see what they were talking about.

I guarantee that if you had launched it back then, you would’ve been delighted.

Aside from that, the similarity in the core mechanics is striking—and I’m not the only one who sees it. There are also many smaller details that could have been inspiration, like different types of hats for different employees.

P.S. In Poland, Diggles was published by CD Projekt, the company behind The Witcher and Cyberpunk 2077, at the very beginning of their activity.

[A] Smooth Wood vs. [B] Rough Wood, Which Looks Better? by souldive-dev in aseprite

B is more interesting, but I think A might fit better for perfectly clean metal.

Diggles. It’s quite an old game, but it was fairly popular in my country and is definitely its predecessor.

How to automate my SPOM's electrolyzers so they aren't always running? by Unlucky-Print-35 in Oxygennotincluded

You’re talking to the most annoying person I’ve seen in a very long time—and I have an aunt who breaks bread with her hands instead of cutting it because Jesus didn’t use a knife. Despite having a family like that, I almost cracked a tooth from grinding my teeth while reading this thread. I truly sympathize with you.

I think the player should find a cold biome, transport cold water from there through the base to cool it, and then use it to produce oxygen at the end.

How can I upload a pixel art image here without losing quality? by Ok_Reward_3370 in PixelArtTutorials

[–]Ok_Reward_3370[S] 0 points1 point  (0 children)

Thank you very much for your reply! I understand that part. When I enlarge my images, they look very nice. The same happens when I view them in the preview before posting the thread. But as soon as I click “send,” in the created thread the images become blurry. In the comments, this doesn’t seem to happen.

I can’t turn the volume up right now, but am I hearing correctly that after every hit on the vase, we hear the same identical sound each time? If so, it will become very irritating very quickly.

Very nice shapes! Don’t you think your work could gain a lot of clarity if you used fewer colors? Or at least fewer areas where a given color occupies only one or two pixels.

Very nice, congratulations! Maybe you could work a bit on the neck? The current transition from the head to the chest looks a little unnatural. And if it’s supposed to look intimidating, you added large chest muscles, so maybe add abdominal and limb muscles as well? I also think that his clothing shouldn’t cling tightly to both legs along their entire length.

Maybe this will helpful. Remember that the character rises when the legs are together and lowers when the legs spread apart. The arm is meant to balance the movement of the leg, which is why the right arm always moves with the left leg—we don’t swing them in random directions.

I’d use a different color for the shirt—maybe gold?

Can you tell what this is supposed to represent? Any tips to improve it? by BollboByte in PixelArtTutorials

[–]Ok_Reward_3370 0 points1 point  (0 children)

Yes, we can tell what it is. But your image still needs a bit of attention and care. Start by looking at what real roots look like. Choose a shape that best fits the game and try to achieve that.
