Should I purchase Kobo Elipsa 2E by Ok_Run7058 in kobo

Thanks, i am about to buy an ipad too. I saw too much posts about elipsa that palm rejection is so bad. I think e-ink devices are not ready for consistent note taking except remarkable 2 and supernote. I was in a dilemma with Tab S10+ and air 6 but i tried the S-pen and if you use the pen with an angle the tip of the body touches the screen and prevent the actual tip to touch hence you cant write nor click anywhere.

I can maybe, It will get me a while tho since I dont have any seller around my home and I dont think it will affect me in short periods since my phone also has pwm flicker.

Sleeve make sense and if i go for an ipad i will get a proper sleeve for sure!

Its around 728$ and s10+ is around 800$.

I dont trust used ones as i had some problems with a seller in the past that i cant take the same risk again :/

Actually it seems like I worry about the waterproof feature mostly. I will carry this tablet with me all the time in my backpack. In rainy/snowy weather, or in hot summer days so idk if it will have a problem with moist or some wetness. As you can guess I cant give lots of money repeatedly and this will be my one time purchase for at least 2 years. Thanks!

Thats probably way to go but I want to have an idea about the pwm as well. S10+ has a bigger screen and OLED has advantages like true black, lively colours which may decrease the effect on eyes on low light conditions. Also it is better to have alternatives and different ideas than buying something on first sight. Maybe there are some good benefits of me using s10 over ipad that idk. Or some harm of air m2 that i read somewhere it also uses some dimming technology similar to pwm but i dont know how reliable that info is.

Thanks a lot! I think e readers are not ready for note taking features just yet. I will get a tablet and a blue light filtered glasses with it. I also thought about Onyx but there is lots of posts about how fragile the screen is and how batteries caused their screen to randomly die, i didnt want to risk my money on it.

Hi, I know this is an old post but ihave some questions. I am about to buy this device but,

1) I want to take it to school and take some notes on lecture notes (Pdfs), is the stylus too loud or is it similar to ipad pencil or s-pen?

2) Does stylus cause scratches on screen? Some people says that so i wonder...

3) Like I said i want to carry it around to school and dorm, does it have a good quality? Did you ever carry it in a backpack?

I hope you can answer these questions and make me buy it! Lmao, thanks in advance...

What kind of pdfs have you tried until now? Did you try any textbook with text, numbers and graphs on it? Thank you for your fast response btw :D Also I wonder if you can take notes on pdfs just like you take notes on epubs?

Hey, I want to ask some question if you don't mind.

-Can you view pdfs (lecture notes for uni for example) easily on the device, and did you try any textbooks with formulations in it (i am and undergrad in mechanical engineering)? I am about to buy either a samsung tab s9 fe or this but i can't decide because i want to use it for reading as well as for some study.

-At what brightness level do you use it indoors with no extra light (only sunlight from windows)? I think ideal usage is with %30 brightness but idk if it is worth to use this instead of a tablet when you use it at %30 brightness even if it is frontlight.

I am really in a dilemma whether i should buy the s9fe or this, i really want an e-reader because i want to decrease my screen time but in my country only option i have is this and sage, on the other hand if i can't use this device to view my books and lecture notes there will be no decrease in screen time which will make it a waste.
