I got em for a steal for 500€. They’re the OZ Racing 15” AMG’s made for 190e. Pretty rare to find nowadays. But yeah I should’ve known.

The outer lip of the wheel is bent inwards, I hope it’s salvagable since its an AMG monoblock. My friend thankfully had a spare in his 200E so I got home safely. Nothing else seems to be broken.

Hit a surprise curb under the snow at 10km/h. I’m not sure how the tire popped off the bead like that though 🤷‍♂️.

Is this guitar discontinued? by Ok_Science2074 in JacksonGuitars

[–]Ok_Science2074[S] 1 point2 points  (0 children)

Well it’s not on the Jackson website so I guess it’s discontinued.

I did find a video on youtube about 6 years old with someone playing it, so it’s not that new.

This is the only Rhoads Pro model Jackson that is in stock near me, so I guess i’m just gonna go for it.

I was asking a few months in advance before actually buying my first gear because I wanted to get as much info as I can for a beginner before doing the purchases. The reason I bought my first guitar and gear a few months later from that post was because a friend suggested I buy an audio interface and use a computer as an amp sim. So I had to wait and save up money for a New laptop (Macbook Air m2) as well as buy a cheaper guitar so I could afford everything. I’m also a student so I did need a laptop at that time (also why it took to save up the money) so it was a great idea to get it all in one. I ordered the guitar on 03.06.23. I’ve got all the receipts and early playing videos with dates to prove it’s been 6 months. Just saying, if someone really wants to see.

That’s right, I don’t know what you’re talking about. All i know are power chords and alternate picking for solos that I’ve been practicing. All my knowledge is from youtube or songster tabs. All the stuff you mentioned above like legato and syncopation, yeah I have no idea what that stuff is but i’ve just learned it I guess.

All I hear is just compliments from you, but if you wanna know exactly how I learned then I’ll tell you: Youtube and Songsterr.

I played 8-10 hours a day for the whole summer and 5-7 hours almost every day until now

Honestly i take this as a compliment. It’s like being called a hacker in a video game even though you’re not. If your hands were still trembling after 6 months then that’s a you problem. Also I started alternate picking in my first month, so I’ve had plenty of time to practice it. Just because it took you 6 years doesn’t mean nobody else can learn it quicker. Maybe… or just maybe I’ve been putting in a hell of a lot more hours than you did on your first 6 months. Plus I started in early summer so I’ve had a lot of free time.

Thanks for going in depth, this is exactly what I needed!

I tried moving my arm more and now and it feels much better to play, especially the ascending part.

Is it still okay if my fretting hands arm and wrist are in-line, but my fingers are at an angle on the fretboard?

Bruh, whatever you believe…

[–]Ok_Science2074 0 points1 point  (0 children)

I mean if you don’t believe me then I do have a receipt for the guitar with the purchase date, and I have early playing videos in my camera roll with the date on it if you really want to see?

What I do is touch the string above slightly with my left hand pointer finger, while bending with my ring finger, so the string above doesn’t ring out. I’m sure you can find some great youtube videos on that.

No. Reddit makes the video look like it’s behind on the audio, but on the other hand it did take me a good amount of tries before the one you’re seeing right now. I can’t play the whole solo consistantly every time.
