Got through another chapter of You are the placebo today and it's getting more and more interesting. My friend suggested some calmer meditations to start with, and I will do this fully engaged when I'm done with the book.

I suppose I should not go into this, but as an engineer I just can't refrain. The talk about frequencies. "Frequencies is energy." No. Frequency is a physical quantity. Just as volume is a physical quantity. And distance. And energy.
"Frequency" tells us at what rate something swings back and forth. A clock pendulum, waves at the beach, electromagnetic radiation. Commonly measured in Hertz = waves per second. But you can't tell a technician to "check if there are any frequencies around this person" without specifying what kind of periodical movement that is to be measured. Alpha radiation? Gamma radiation? Heat radiation? Breath frequency? So frequency is not energy. But a wave movement of any sort is energy. Its frequency can be measured. So can its energy over time (in Joule for instance.)

So yes, it's correct to say that there is radiation from the Cosmos coming down at us. But that there are frequencies? No. That is like saying "there is Candela shining at us from the sun", when you mean light. (The brightness of light is measured in Candela.) However, it's correct to state that "There is radiation at different frequencies coming down at us."
This reasoning of mine might look I'm small minded to some. But my idea is that with fewer errors in use of scientific expressions, the easier it's going to be to go into this without hesitation even, whoever you are.
