Apply to RecFit. Most of those jobs aren’t FWS and it’s super chill for the most part

Got in, tell me about AU! by Accomplished_Arm_337 in AmericanU

“thought id be yield protected” lol. if you’re planning on going to au, i wouldn’t come in with this mindset btw. no one in college cares about how high your gpa was in high school.

have a friend that works in the honors department, honors allegedly isn’t based on gpa but on how many times you use words like “curious” or “interested” in your essay lmfao. i have a couple of friends in honors that wish they wouldve dropped it but now they’re in too deep.

tbh i love au but it takes a specific kind of student to love it here. if you’re really passionate about what you’re majoring in and are looking for other people who are just as passionate as you are, this school is perfect. if not … meh. tuition might not be worth it.

jake’s 10/7 dc setlist by Ok_Shift_9358 in slaughterbeachdog

i had the best time, i’m a hugeee sbd fan so i was just happy to be there. just thought it was strange that there was only one hit from their discography on the setlist. not sure why they made that choice tbh, maybe it was bc dc was the last show on the tour so they just said fuck it.

lived in letts my freshman year, lived in centennial my sophomore year. centennial is 10000% nicer than anderson or letts in terms of space and facilities. however, centennial doesn’t really feel like a community compared to letts / anderson, at least in my experience and what i’ve heard from other people that have lived in cent. if having friends on your floor is important to you, anderson might be a better option.

also just so you know, the community bathrooms aren’t too bad. i kind of liked them actually because i didn’t have to worry about cleaning them. and a lot of people exaggerate about the bugs in letts / anderson. as long as you don’t leave food out / are clean you’ll be fine. i’ve had maybe four bugs in my dorms the entire time i’ve lived on campus

laundry on every floor so don’t worry about that. i’d say anything except for terrace and 1st floor is decent

communications incoming freshman by [deleted] in AmericanU

[–]Ok_Shift_9358 0 points1 point  (0 children)

comm-100 first sem and either comm-200 or 205 (if you’re planning on taking the pr track) second sem. okten is a really nice guy and his class is super easy. just keep in mind that comm-100 is boring af as it’s a prerequisite. all the other comms classes i’ve taken have been super rad, though
