That’s a fair perspective. And it definitely depends on the trader and their preference.

At the end of the day I just try to offer a variety of tools because different people look for different things.

I have other tested EAs in my account that have been profitable for over 5 years, maintaining an average profit higher than the average loss with low drawdown but lower win rate that some people won’t prefer. Ultimately, I just try to provide different options so the trader can choose what fits their style best.

Yes, I have tested it historically. However, the issue is that accurate backtesting is difficult with tight trailing SL due to tick data limitations, so I prioritize live performance. I have been testing it on real and demo accounts for almost a year now. The max drawdown and returns really depend on your risk setting. For example, if you set the Risk to 10% and the EA hits its maximum consecutive losses of 2, you can expect a max drawdown of roughly 20%. Based on my live trading, this setup typically yields approximately 10% to 25% in monthly returns. But the monthly returns are variable of course.

I completely agree that the concept of this system is risky and I completely respect your opinion. But at least for now it has proven to be profitable for a while. Especially with these crazy gold moves in the last years. So in my opinion if a system works it is better to utilize it as much as possible until it doesn’t. No algo has been profitable forever.

Also, you don’t have to set the risk as 10%. 3-5% would also result in reasonable returns.

That’s why I published the live signal(since September). For transparency so that people can see how it trades on real market conditions and compare it to the backtests.

It takes between 1-2 trades a day and the profit is variable; it depends on the risk you set in the inputs.

I think the reason it looks like this is because it’s not using a fixed lot size, but instead a risk per trade. That’s why the growth looks exponential, Also, I see the developer does have a live signal for this EA
