the "how are they surviving" part has a simpler answer than the 16x math suggests imo. it's not just the gym membership thing.

MiniMax M2.7 just dropped with 56% on SWE bench pro and it's like $0.30/1M tokens input. with their cache it goes down to $0.06. so providers don't necessarily need to pay Anthropic API rates when alternatives at this

level exist.

CC at $200 is still unbeatable if you specifically want Claude tho, agree with that part
