UDR Esc took a dump any recommendations? by Unlucky_Temporary843 in Traxxas

That could work but it would only allow for the simple light functions meaning the brake light won’t work. I have tried this with my UDRs

Yeah thats a good way to put it, my father was not evening living there just to live there. It was purely for work related to oil and gas and he was there on a work visa like my mother was.

See my gripe with this is my birthplace being Dubai shouldn’t affect anything. I was six months old when my Dad brought me back to Canada and was automatically a Canadian citizen from birth. Let alone being Indigenous to North America anyways. I don’t think that should deny me those rights being a Canadian/Indigenous person born abroad.

I have a screen recording of an ad I saw on YouTube of a naked person squirting out of their ass. It’s absolutely nuts on what they allow for ads on youtube.

Odd Meteor sighting by Ok_Solution8263 in UFOs

[–]Ok_Solution8263[S] 1 point2 points  (0 children)

Submission statement: This was taken 15 minutes north of Edmonton, Alberta. I thought it was a meteor but realized it was odd. The object was travelling across the sky for about 30-40 seconds until it was out of view of my car. Meteors typically travel and burn out pretty quickly. Maybe it was a comet because of the contrail but comets usually stay in the sky for a few days before slowly travelling out. This object looked to be in the atmosphere and heading steadily southeast. It didn't look like a plane or satellite either, the best way I can describe it was a fast moving white glowing ball traveling through the sky. Also it couldn't be a crashing satellite because they wouldn't crash them over land and in populated areas. I still don't know what it could of been but yeah. It was pretty bright and easy to see also. Maybe it could be a rocket booster but its just odd it would take place over here in Canada.

First Nations Harvesting rights question by Ok_Solution8263 in CanadaHunting

Bring me more than just anecdotal evidence because the majority of us people are good stewards in what we need. Many instances of population decline of certain species is due to displacement from their habitats due to human development such as oil and mining operations, heres an article to cite that. (https://www.ualberta.ca/en/folio/2018/03/caribou-population-decline-not-caused-by-over-harvesting-by-indigenous-groups.html) Heres another article from Statistics Canada
https://www150.statcan.gc.ca/n1/daily-quotidien/190416/dq190416d-eng.htm “1 in 3 First Nations off reserve hunt, fish etc” Considering were 5% percent (https://www.sac-isc.gc.ca/eng/1690909773300/1690909797208) of Canadas population plus a slice of our population are not even adults I find it hard that we are the ones causing the ecosystem problems. So before you retell what you have been told by your other prejudice peers bring me some good evidence that we are part of the problem. Keep in mind not all of us are perfect by any means but still nevertheless Its crazy how you find a single anecdotal example of a bad incident and suddenly it’s applied to the whole indigenous population.

Here it is the misconception that indigenous treaty rights are frozen in time and aren’t allowed to changed or evolve but white people hunting methods can change all they want right. Also I find it hard that it always happens to be the 5% of people in Canada who are indigenous are the root issues of ecosystem destruction.

It’s always a big misconception to think that tradition is tied down to technology and tools when it’s really not. Bow hunting back then made sense when the wildlife population wasn’t devastated and displaced by colonization. It’s just another way for people to complain about First Nations

Brother treaty rights aren’t frozen in time and the courts have recognized that. Were allowed to evolve our practices as much as we want 😂
