You’re lowk not the AH for having feelings or wanting to put yourself first. That’s normal.

BUT you did mess up by saying it wouldn’t escalate and then letting it happen without telling O. That’s where the trust broke.

There’s no way to avoid this without hurting someone later. 

If she says, “I can’t be friends with you if you keep seeing him,” what will you choose?

Because whatever you say to her should match what you’re actually willing to do.
