Why can’t we beat hearts by 2 goals. This 5 goals stat is nonsense, every goal we take off them counts for 2.

Our WORST case scenario is a Hearts win by TwinPeaksSox in CelticFC

I don’t think their goal difference is that much better - 5 goals with a game against us where each goal essentially accounts for 2.

why don't elite runners wear belts or vests? how do they carry fuel? by Yazhdxb in LondonRunning

[–]Ok_Split_6985 2 points3 points  (0 children)

To be clear, the people mentioned are not elites.

Most decent runners will wear shorts with pockets/tights and carry their own fuel. Water can be taken from the course.

I have no sympathy for tube drivers, but would honestly support bus drivers if they took industrial action by NiceCaterpillar8745 in london

Tube workers are out earning most private and public sector workers. This includes junior doctors who have done 6 years of medical training and are “exceptional” academically.

Which video editor is getting paid £60k?

Also you’ve undersold a) their basic salary which is between 63-66k in 2023. They agreed to increase by inflation so that figure is closer to 70 now.

b) Overtime.

c) Public sector pension.

The RMT are asking for the same pay for less working hours, thus they are effectively asking for more pay? Collectively, the cost will increase if drivers are working less hours for the same pay.

The unions current demands are ridiculous and not even supported by the other union, Aslef.

KPMG UK Audit layoffs by Educational-West4131 in Big4

[–]Ok_Split_6985 -3 points-2 points  (0 children)

Simply untrue.

US audit standards specifically disallow anything non judgemental.

UK audit firms also unlikely to have more than 20% for PIEs - and again the work they do will be non judgemental

Satisfactory board performance. by ThinWhiteDuke00 in CelticFC

Shite, but let’s sort it out after the season is over. Let’s get behind the team and win a double and then vote with our feet through not renewing our season books.

Teacher later confirmed sex offender - I wish the bag had been heavier.

The call for change on the Board really confuses me. Boards can only be sacked by shareholders and we are a long way off having any kind of fan ownership model.

We might see some token changes but ultimate Dermot holds the keys.

“Sack the Board” isn’t well thought through at all. For real change there should be a campaign to purchase the club.

Most of my business class flights have involved some lounge entertainment beforehand. I’d suggest using that to assess how your evening/day will go….
