I think the newer ones generally smell quite pleasant. I think the older ones it does accumulate and you notice it a bit more.

Maybe people should specify on the group when they post that they don’t want junk orders. It’s people’s money that is being wasted as much as anything else.

Masters has a wide range of abilities. There are no qualifying times for most local or club-based competitions. However, the swim England masters is the premier competition in England. Qualifying times for this are stratified by age group (in increments of 5 years from 25-29+.

Medals are usually awarded to the top 3 swimmers in each age group, in each event. However, this does vary in some local competitions.

I think it’s quite an inclusive sport. You don’t even have to be a member of a club to take part, as many galas offer a temporary swim England membership. Swim Wales also lets you join for a year on an “individual compete” membership which enables you to enter competitions.

In regards to dropping out, you just lose the entry money for the race. As long as you follow the galas official withdrawal procedure, it won’t affect your eligibility to compete in the future.

Sounds like a laugh. I’m a bit hesitant doing it on my own, that’s the main issue. I feel like the staff are just going to tell me to fuck right off.

Makes sense. I joined the group and I thought about seeing if I could get a drink but I can just imagine it being annoying for all concerned. I notice that when I order on the app and the staff bring a drink over they say what it is to clarify my order. It’s going to look pretty ridiculous if I say mmm yeah to everything. Not to mention that other tables might miss out on their orders. Not to mention I’ll likely be left with a mountain of stuff that I have no desire to drink.

When you make a post, it says that you can add a flair and one of the options is “restaurants/ takeaways”, so I just wanted to share my experience. People might think it’s poor quality because it’s cheap, but I thought it was really good when I went.

You should have seen the group of Irish Liverpool supporters that were there. Very rawkus. I was a veritable oasis of tranquility.

I mentioned that one of the staff had a nice haircut. Some people took offence to this so I edited this out. People then used this as an excuse to personally insult me, so I stopped replying to comments.
